SUBJECT: Status Report No. 4 on Preparing Information Systems for the Year 2000
This is the fourth report to the Board of Supervisors providing a
summary of the Countys preparations for insuring our information systems will
continue to work in the Year 2000. Attached are:
Provides a quick
look at where we are on getting ready for the Year 2000.
Summarizes the reports provided by the County Department/Agencies.
Copies of the actual submittals.
Includes status reports on the mainframe hardware, applications
programs, networks and interfaces as well as information on personal computers and their
Y2K status.
For this report, we again asked departments to provide the status on
critical systems. New for this report is an expanded status report on any system not yet
ready. Also, new to this report is a brief summary of the status of Superior Courts
systems. The Emergency Operations Center staff is coordinating contingency backup planning
should critical computer systems not be ready.
The next report to the Board will be in early November and will focus
on any system not yet ready.
