Message from the Supervisor…….
"County government must be more responsive to the people it serves. To do that, I've:
- Successfully lobbied for televised Board meetings to allow folks to see their government in action. My next goal is to replace the tape-delay format with live broadcasts.
- Debuted a cable TV show, "Fifth District Issues and Answers" to talk in-depth about issues of interest to South County.
- Insisted on a revised contract award procedure that takes the politics out of the selection process.
- Listened to the people I represent - particularly on Measure H (tobacco settlement dollars) and Measure F and Measure W/El Toro - but also on routine matters of County business. Your opinion matters, and I welcome everyone's input.
- Written monthly updates and columns.
