Schedule & format for public
testimony on El Toro Reuse Plan and EIR

Santa Ana, CA - Chairman Roger R. Stanton
has established the following schedule and format for
public testimony at the Board of Supervisors/Local Redevelopment
Authority Special Meeting on the MCAS El Toro Community
Reuse Plan and Environmental Impact Report. The special
meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. on December 10, at the
Orange County Hall of Administration, Board Hearing Room,
10 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana.
(SANTA ANA) - County Chief Executive
Officer Jan Mittermeier today named Gary Burton, Orange
County Transportation Authority's deputy director of finance
and administration, as chief financial officer for the
County of Orange.

(SANTA ANA) - Orange County residents
who want to appeal their property tax assessments this
year can make a stop at a neighborhood library instead
of joining the ranks of OC residents telephoning the appeals
office for copies of the proper form.
(SANTA ANA) - Ben Nielsen, former mayor
and city council member in Fountain Valley, was appointed
today to the planning commission of the County of Orange.
Nielsen has also served on Ft. Valley's planning commission.
"Budget This two-hour session introduces
participants to the basics of budgeting. Basics"
Topics covered include setting policy direction, the proposal/approval
process, the CEO's role, definition of terms, the budget
workbook, sources of funding (state, federal, etc.) and
a general overview of the proposed budget for Fiscal Year
1996-97.
Three More Positions Filled on County's
Management Team

(SANTA ANA) - Three new managers have
been appointed to fill roles on the County of Orange's
new management team. "I'm excited about the skills
and knowledge that these people bring to the County family,"
said county Chief Executive Officer Janice M. Mittermeier.
"They will be strong assets in helping us critically
and creatively address the way we provide service and
perform our work and, then, make the appropriate changes."
(SANTA ANA) - Chief Executive Officer
Janice M. Mittermeier has named the first four members
of Orange County's new management team. The managers will
assume responsibilities outlined in the internal restructuring
program proposed by the CEO and approved by the Board
of Supervisors on June 20, 1996. Mittermeier also announced
that she would recruit for five additional key management
positions.
Orange County Creditors Overwhelmingly
Approve Adjustment Plan
May 15, 1996
Santa Ana, California -- The County
of Orange announced it has received overwhelming approval
of the County's Plan of Adjustment from County Creditors.
The final tabulation of approximately 7,198 ballots from
more than 15,000 ballots mailed to creditors indicate
that most classes of creditors support the county's plan
in the range of 97%-100%. The tabulation of ballots was
filed with U.S. Bankruptcy Court today at 1:50 p.m.
Santa Ana, CA. -- January 16, 1996 --
Janice Mittermeier, Chief Executive Officer of Orange
County, announced today that her office has proposed that
the County Board of Supervisors adopt comprehensive new
guidelines governing the approval of any future financings
which involve the County.
