Ceremony Scheduled
to Raise POW/MIA Flag Over Countys Civic Center
(SANTA ANA)
Supervisor James W. Silva, chairman of the Orange County
Board of Supervisors, will host a brief ceremony tomorrow
morning to raise the POW/MIA flag at the County of Oranges
Civic Center Plaza.
In addition to the Board of Supervisors, other invited
guests include the Countys Veterans Advisory Council
and families of servicemen and women who have been listed
as prisoners of war or missing in action.

"Im very proud that the County is taking this
action," said Silva. "The black and white POW/MIA
flag is a sobering reminder of the sacrifices made for
all of us. Display of the flag demonstrates our continuing
commitment to the servicemen and women who remain unaccounted
for in our nations wars."
