John Fuller began his law
enforcement career March 25, 1975 with the Orange
County Sheriffs Department. Two years later he
transferred to the Orange County Marshals
Department where he had the opportunity to work as a
bailiff, civil deputy, and warrant investigator. Johns
valuable leadership talents received recognition from
the Departments Administration and he promoted
quickly to Lieutenant and Captain.
On February 12, 1999, John received
the appointment, by a majority vote of the Superior
Court Judges, to succeed Mike Carona as the Marshal
of Orange County. At the time of his appointment, the
Department consisted of 463 employees, which included
375 sworn employees. Johns goals are to
continue supplying a safe environment for the courts,
while pursuing criminals through an aggressive
warrant program.
