Orange County Data Center
Overview
The Orange County Data Center is owned and managed by the County of Orange and operated and maintained by ACS Corporation. Established in 1992 the Orange County Data Center has evolved into a state-of-the-art computing and telecommunications facility and is the Center of Excellence for IT Outsourcing and e-Commerce in Southern California. The Orange County Data Center provides services to federal, state, county, local governments and commercial customers throughout the United States.

  • Total Raised Floor: 35,000 square feet
  • "Erector Set" type of design is able to withstand earthquakes measuring magnitude up to 8.5
  • 1750 kilovolt Caterpillar generator
  • 12,500 gallons of diesel fuel on reserve
  • Enough power to conduct business as usual for one week
  • Over 480 batteries implemented as backup
  • Card accessed, gated parking
  • Card access control at all interior and exterior doors
  • ATM network for voice, data, and video
  • Fully redundant network
  • Dual SONET backbone
  • SL 100 Nortel telephone switch
